Hired by Swift.....anyone go through there program?

I have a question, and I don’t want to appear to be nosy, but you are an experienced driver. What causes you to seek employment at an entry level gig?
And are they requiring you to ride with a trainer?

 

I remember seeing you post. Thought you were already rolling.

Hard part of the whole process is getting through the time with the trainer. Remember your goal: Get issued your own truck. Don’t become so involved in whether or not you like your trainer. No one is in the truck to win a popularity contest, right?

Be cordial, but keep your business YOUR business. No conversations about your personal life.

Forgot to mention, during orientation, there will be that jackwad who never shuts up and full of negativity about a job he accepted. Do not give that idiot the audience he craves.

When in the motel, DO NOT drink beer. They may do a surprise inspection.

I got my start at Swift in Phoenix Arizona in 2016. Spent almost 2 years with them. I had a very good experience. You will get out of it what you put into it. As mentioned above, there are bound to be one or a few "jackwads" in your class. Remember, you are participating in a 3 week long job interview. Conduct yourself as such. Trust me, the trouble makers are usually weeded out very early on. Good luck!
