A concern almost every day. Been pulled out by 3-4 farmers within the last year.

I almost got stuck in the mud in that pallet yard next to the Walmart DC in Plainview, TX. It took me a half hour maybe longer of rocking back and forth and spinning the tires to get out.

When I went back in to shipping he told me one of our drivers was stuck there for two days. Yeah, thanks for telling me that before I drove back there a--------e.

Driving dump trucks and rolloffs you learn to walk it before anything. Not sure what the driver in the picture above was thinking because if you can see water pooled up you can pretty much bet it's going to be trouble.

Company removing overburden at the top of a quarry. I brought the CAT loader in driving up the quarry face feeling the lowbed briefly grab at each terrace all the way up.

The dump truck guys told me how to come directly into the field at the top by another road.

When I went later to retrieve the Cat I followed their directions except I left the 'road' to pull closer to the CAT. All of a sudden I notice my R model is turning into mud super single drives.

Got good and muddy walking over to the CAT and used it to pull the rig back onto solid ground.

The mud really flew on my way out!

Chains, full lockups and a D6 dozer. You won't be stuck for long!

In the 70's we had two team loads for DuPont from NJ to Washington State for the US forestry people.

They towed the units in with D8's for a few miles up a burned mountain area, backed 'em up to the edge and told them to blow the loads off...

'nother time a load of glycol solution labeled 'Freeze Release' to a coal mine in WV. A phone booth a the gate where you called and they said to wait for the Dozer to be towed up and out onto the top of the coal seam where the company had drilled and shot the holes over a big area and they dumped the solution to allow them to work that material all winter instead of waiting for spring.

wonder what the markup was from glycol solution to Freeze Release....

I’ve showed these before, the terminal yard I used to work for out of West Memphis.

The tank was loaded, I weighed in at 79980, told the terminal manager it was to muddy to move, even the loader operated did, but he said, “Move, I’ll show you.” EC470955-92BA-42B8-A28C-310AAC0884F1.jpeg 4F17930D-7ADC-4413-8D38-16AE8548BFA6.jpeg BF98BBBB-3053-4B0D-995D-1BCAE8D87D32.jpeg

It cost them a C-13 cat engine.

Then this guy tried to turn around after a rain.

Mine will make you eat the wrecker bill if it was your fault.

And I’ll echo whats previously been said with an old adage from the LTL business. Back in or walk in first.
