Sounds like the rescue i had to do when I was otr for crete. Was told guy would be waiting for me at a drop yard. Even told me he would be there when I got in. Get over there only to find the guy not there and that he decided to sleep at a truck stop and will be here in the morning...
Dude was over 200 miles away when I was originally told and shut down after talking to dispatch.
After explaining to night ops that now his AND my load will be late cause I have a 6am app and the whole reason for the swap was he had a high priority load that he was going to be late on, they put me back on my current run. If I had said nothing then they would of looked like fools.
Plus they did not pay me the 80 so miles it took to get to the drop yard and then get back to my route.
Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

I knew when I came back that I didn’t have the patience required, but it made way more economic sense to come back here. I signed on for “dedicated” (you can probably guess which one but please don’t). There where trade offs but it has worked out a lot better. I don’t have an asset manager and rarely deal with Lincoln but when I do it usually doesn’t go well.

Peoplenet has a new option for megafleets. To access the unit, the driver has to grip the artificial hand. That way these megas can hold your hand while they tell you how to do your job

My new company uses new Omnitracs. I hope it is better than the Person Net I have been dealing with the past 5 years or so.

One day in the books with my new AM, and we haven't butted heads... that's one day in a row!! He has me on my next load, Atlanta to Gas City, IN Wally DC for Sunday...drop/hook both ends. That is one positive thing I can say about Shaffer, they have an abundant amount of equipment so we can do a fair amount of drop/hook loads.
