I went with cricket I used to be verizon but i got tired pay the amount I was paying so went to cricket works well on east coast which is where prefer. I agree though keep current plan. till you know it won't work for sure what you need it to do.

 

One good thing is Metro doesn't do contracts. That is one reason I selected them. I use an Iphone7 on their network. I use the Dexcom CGM system that MUST have the internet to upload my readings AND to send out an alert to someone close to me that gets an alert if my blood sugars get hinkey. Has never failed me yet. Not meaning to hijack this thread, but a few days ago my BS crashed and I had a seizure and passed out. This person has a key to my apartment and entered my apartment and gave me a shot of Glucagon that helped revive me. My life depends on my smartphone and so far Metro has worked well for me!

 

Cricket is AT&T network. Metro is T-MOBILE/Sprint network. Just w/o the BS.

 

Maybe you should have a backup plan as well.

One good solar flare can that out that smartphone network.

 

My support network is a bit more complicated than just a smartphone. I was just speaking of the Dexcom system. At some point, I am going to need 24/7 nursing care. It sure sucks when the body starts to fail.
