I’m interested in current team info also. There’s quite a few terminals with team postings.

You edited in your OP that you're no longer with them. Do you miss teaming there at Old Dominion? Do you know anything about them some 5 years later in 2020 or do you not keep in touch with anybody from there?
I was personally surprised to read about the bare bones equipment. I thought all their teaming trucks were automatics that would come with a fridge and a stereo, and even for their solo trucks Old Dominion seems to have a much better reputation for keeping newer equipment than other LTL companies.
Thank you for the write up again OP!blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
The money he mentioned is to the team ; So $80k to $92,500 each driver and he/she mentioned taking a bunch of time off . At my local terminal the teams run a 6-2 schedule
Another company thats easier to get on with is R&L carriers . Great pay for team drivers . At my terminal they're making $1800- $2000 each per week running a 5-2 schedule and the team trucks run 72-75 mph so you have more wiggle room but Old Dominion seems like a better retirement companyLast edited: Nov 24, 2020

What would you say solo drivers average at R&L if they do linehaul and stay out 5 days a week, @gpf87 ? Also, does R&L for the teams have automatic trucks? OP didn't respond to my question but I was going to ask him if OD teams had automatics now, since he made his post about 5 years ago. I thought OD ran autos for the teams but I could be wrong. -
As far as I know the highest paid LTL would be UPS feeder drivers (Brown)
For the longest time R&L had a team job open where I live and they said $2000 per week per driver plus a nice sign on bonus
The Solo linehaul drivers don't usually stay out a week . They come home every day and usually run at night pulling doubles . There are some solo linehaul runs where the driver will stay in a motel throughout the week but I don't know if R&L does this
Also , R&L is kind of different because your line haul pay(cpm) depends on the exact run you get ..
R&L team trucks are mostly automated petes and InternationalsLast edited: Nov 25, 2020

I keep in touch with a buddy still at ODFL - team pays over 80cpm now.
TequilaSunrise and BeHereNow97 Thank this. -
Do you know if they're running automatic transmissions at ODFL @blairandgretchen or at least is your buddy running in an automatic?
