So reman turbo not factory new. That's what mine was. Made 250 miles before it started surging and died shortly thereafter

Could you remove the turbo, seal the oil lines, unplug the speed sensor, and run it like that? The derate from the speed sensor being unplugged prevents the turbo from building almost any boost, so I'm guessing the ECM would also prevent it from overfueling. You would have no jakes, no speedometer, E-logs wouldn't work properly, it would be loud, and the exhaust might smell worse. I'm not sure if there would be any other issues, or if there are any automatic engine shutdowns that would occur if the turbo is unplugged.

Interesting I have never heard anywhere That synthetic oil does not burn ?

Had a Perkins runaway. All we used was synthetic oil.

    Yes
Seams to burn just fine in my waste oil furnace.
Also as far as I know synthetic oil is not made out chemicals but rather is made out of the same crude as regular oil only refined differently.

I sent old turbo back to where I got it from. They're saying it failed cause of insufficient oil. I drove 300 miles before it quit on me. Wouldn't no oil cause almost instant bearing failure?
