My driver door won’t open from inside or outside has anyone ever had this problem? I removed the window gaskets so i can see inside the door I’m just not sure if i can tug on something to get it to unlock. I’ve been using a old wire hanger so far but haven’t had luck

Had it on a Pete 587, sounds like the rod had came loose in the door.
With the window up, your going to have to go from the inside and keep at it until you hook the latch and pull it to open the door.
Took me 2 hours but it finally caught and opened.
Then take off door panels reattach.
Order new part because old one is worn out and will come loose again.
Ask how I know..Imani100 Thanks this. -

My driver door lock sticks. If I use the key, I have to turn the key to the lock position first, then move the key directly to the unlock position. If I'm unlocking it from inside the truck, I have to push the knob forward like I'm locking it, then pull it back until it catches. I can usually get the outside lock in one motion, while from the inside it can take a few times of jiggling it. The unlock button near the mirror control works for the passenger door, but not the driver door.
You might be able to remove the door panel from the inside without opening the door. There's a torx(T25?) screw hidden behind a round panel near the cup holder. There's a torx screw(T10?) hidden under the inside door handle cover that you can pry off with a screwdriver. Remove the window control panel and light from the plastic cover. Remove the fabric cover, and there should be two 12 or 14mm bolts where the door handle is. The plastic cover has a bunch of pop tabs holding it in place, so once you get it pulled apart, it lifts up over the door lock/latch. Then there are T25 screws holding the metal panel around the speaker. Then you can pop out the vent that sits directly behind the outside door handle. Be careful sticking your hand around in there, some of the sheet metal can be sharp.Imani100 Thanks this. -

Just had the same problem myself. If you go in through the bottom of the window about 6 inches on the latch side and push down, takes time and patience to find the right spot, it will open. Once you get it open you"ll have to remove the door panel and reconnect the rods that work the release. You will probably have to order some parts. eBay is much cheaper than the stealership and worked just as good.
Imani100 Thanks this.
