So my driver is at a Petro in Illinois. Both amber engine lights came on and truck is derated to 55.

We had the DEF pump replaced like 2 weeks ago.

Petro hooked it up to a J Pro and we got this print out...they then said to go to the dealership because they can't handle anything on here.

These are the codes it is showing active...How screwed am I?

    SPN5841 SPN 14
    SPN521049 SPN 31
    SPN521052 SPN 31
    SPN522117 SPN 5
    SPN520372 SPN 16
    SPN5298 SPN 14

Is this just bad DEF ####ong up with works or am I in for a serious bill?

ECU 5841 14 DEF Quality Low: Diesel Exhaust Fluid Quality Malfunction Special Instructions

Check as follows: 1. Connect DiagnosticLink ®. 2. Turn the ignition ON (key ON, engine OFF). 3. Check the ACM software level. Is the ACM software level 9.57.1.0 ZGS 002 or greater? a. Yes; Go to step 4. b. No; update the ACM using the latest server information. Perform the repair verification. If the fault returns, Go to step 4. 4. Check for other emission-related fault codes. Are there any Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) or Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) related fault codes present? a. Yes; diagnose and repair the emission-related fault codes first. Verify repair. WARNING: PERSONAL INJURY To avoid injury before starting and running the engine, ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, parking brake is set, and the wheels are blocked. WARNING: ENGINE EXHAUST To avoid injury from inhaling engine exhaust, always operate the engine in a well-ventilated area. Engine exhaust is toxic. WARNING: PERSONAL INJURY Diesel engine exhaust and some of its constituents are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm. • Always start and operate an engine in a well ventilated area. • If operating an engine in an enclosed area, vent the exhaust to the outside. • Do not modify or tamper with the exhaust system or emission control system. 2 SPN 521049/FMI 31 - GHG17 4 All information subject to change without notice. WARNING: HOT EXHAUST During parked regeneration the exhaust gases will be extremely HOT and could cause a fire if directed at combustible materials. The vehicle must be parked outside. b. No; perform a high idle regeneration. When the engine returns to idle, turn the ignition off and wait for all the modules to power down (usually about one minute). Turn the ignition on (Key ON / Engine OFF) and wait one minute, then start the engine and run a Parked SCR efficiency test. Use DiagnosticLink to clear the code.

The codes you are getting indicate that you could have multiple things going on here however, once you troubleshoot each of these fault codes separately, verify that DEF contamination fault is either actual contamination or poor quality fluid, or just a sensor wiring issue giving false readings, run through the other checks listed for the 520372 fault code covered within the service bulletin I posted as you may need to have your software re-flashed and updated by the dealer as your problems could be related to a software glitch. You could very well attempt to update the software first and then see what fault codes still exist to troubleshoot each of those separately but it is likely you will need to have your software updated according to the bulletin

Probably needs a new one box, approximately 11K . If you can’t afford a repair like that, you probably shouldn’t be in business to begin with.

Just generally speaking of course since I have no access to troubleshooting literature. When you have a stack of active faults, many times it points to a damaged wiring harness. Some times a quick, visual inspection is enough to find that out. Exhaust gets hot and wires/plugs have been known to melt.

GMT2019 does your truck have a Bendix lane departure camera? I think your Fault code SPN-520199 FMI 2 Source 232 might be related to that.. I searched this 520199 code & found this comment "Antenna for prewired people's net is interfering with LDW camera. Unplugged grey cable from 3 pin connector that has 2 green and one black and white wire. With that unplugged the LDW worked and that fault code 520199/2 stopped showing up."
Is your truck possibly a New Cascadia and you do not have Peoplenet installed on truck?
    I found this also:
"The people net antenna has to be connected to it and to the three pin connector. That connector is located on the passenger side/ lower a-pillar area/ along the floor/ up to the firewall or just around the lower grab handle bolt. The people net antenna can be also disconnected at the people net and three pin connector.
When it becomes a problem is when it’s plugged into people net and disconnected at the three pin connector. Or when it’s disconnected to the people net and connected to the three pin connector. When this happens, the Bendix LDW Camera will intermittently throw 520199 code and behave erratically. "

Could be possibly just be a DEF dosing unit gasket. When they start to leak def builds up in the system causing the doc output to through you some crazy numbers.
