After almost 8 years of driving accident free, my luck ran out and my truck finally got hit today. Worse part is that it was a hit and run by my own co-worker a fellow schneider driver...![]()

hope you had an onboard forward facing camera
Mountaintrucker4302 Thanks this. -
I do have one but i didnt even need it, shipper takes down all truckers info including truck n trailer#, name, drivers license and phone number and there were only 3 schneider drivers there today so it was easy to figure out who it ws. I called safety n made a claim, i guess they must be tracking him down now. Lol. I always thought it was crazy that these shippers required all these info but it sure came in handy today.

He might get fired.
I heard a tanker Schneider at Garden City Ga tank wash when I worked for Bulk division crash into another tanker from Oakley.
They had me on camera walking to my truck and said hey knew I had to see/hear it.
I told them I saw nothing, but I heard scraping and seen him driving off to other side of parking lot.
They waited til noon, when he didn’t report it they fired him.Bud A. and Mountaintrucker4302 Thank this. -
Well i would always assume that leaving an accident scene is an automatic grounds for being fired. Its overall an illegal act, you never know what these type of people will do on the road especially in a 80 ton big rig if they believe they can get away with it.Bud A. Thanks this.

He just couldn’t stand the thought of somebody having a blemish free truck while driving for a big company.
Welcome to the lowest common denominator.
Bud A. and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
If he caught you with the back edge of his trailer he really may not know he ever hit you. Gash is not that deep.
Bud A., magoo68, Flat Earth Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Agreed.
But nevertheless, its gonna be a bad day for the dude that hit himBadmon Thanks this. -
He definitely knew he hit me because he backed up after contact before he caused more damage. It was the side of the trailer that hit me. It almost seemed like he forgot he was pulling a trailer when he was making the turn or misjudged the distance. Our tandems had to be all the way back too so i'm not sure if he slid them forward before taking off because not a lot of room was there to maneuver.Bud A. and Trucking in Tennessee Thank this.
