I recommend the Smith System training. It teaches you a few basic rules that when applied consistently, make a HUGE difference. It's all about awareness, making sure other drivers see you, paying attention way far ahead, and all around 360 degrees of constant awareness. Leave yourself an out, meaning, know whats around you so if the unexpected happens, you know where you can go safely without looking and processing, because there's no time for that.
Defensive driving classes are helpful, too. Many are available for low cost online, and some insurance companies will offer a discount after completion.
Don't ever let another driver pressure you or hurry you. Believe me, we'll try. Take your time. If the road conditions tell you to take it slow, take it slow, and if i try to pressure you to speed up, IGNORE ME.
and worth repeating:
Don't ever let another driver pressure you or hurry you.
Don't ever let another driver pressure you or hurry you.
Don't ever let another driver pressure you or hurry you.
