Id have to see it in person, see maintenance records, oil sample, dyno. Pictures can lie.

Probably ex Werner, they last ok. Don’t see that many anymore. Not sure how the dash and interior held up on those.

    Rideandrepair and tommymonza Thank this.

Probably. Unless he means 400k on a rebuild.

Still, there is the odd unicorn out there.

It's all original, driven by a Grandma occasionally and parked in the garage most of the time :D

you might be surprised at what some guys will buy for a write off just to throw into a garage to let it sit, And what people will pay to get a “new” pre emissions truck

Looks good to me. But I’m partial to Classics and 12.7s. Should get 6 mpg, without idling. A bit better than a 14L, but a bit less power. No DPF, just an egr valve. I could live with that. Pretty sure 03 has the improved cab air ride system. That’s a good compromise on mpgs and ease of maintenance. Very affordable on parts. That’s why I run a Classic. Almost can’t go wrong.

A friends truck went down the same time mine did. I did inframe myself, he went to a shop. I started Monday morning at 8am and worked 8-5 on it everyday. I was done by 4:00pm Friday afternoon. His was in a shop 3 weeks

Right? We had a truck get a new engine put in. Engine was Donated by Cummins. Still took over 6 weeks and the bill was still over $18k from the KW dealer.
Would of been cheaper and easier to just tow it home and do it ourselves.
