Yes it is a good thing. My point is why was I terminated? Crete uses a point system to assist them in terminating drivers. I had no points, no tickets, no failed drug or alcohol screens and no reason for a drive cam but got terminated anyway.

You cannot constantly aggravate the office people without paying some kind of penalty. If there were problems with your miles you probably could have taken a more diplomatic approach.Snow Hater, LtlAnonymous, Rollr4872 and 5 others Thank this. -

It is very very basic math so basic i could state that its in grade school levels not gonna mention because would be an insult to them and my nephew whos in that grade who can figure basic math, with the exception of a few times in which case I had told them well in advance what was gonna happen.
They went ahead and set it for the date I said they reschedule most times what they don't like is minutes hrs before delivery time and you call them to say you ain't gonna make it or best just wait for being late and they call you because now they can lose a potential customer because the goods can't even be scheduled on time and there are no good excuses ahead time say it was the weather or something. But you get walk away while the company had 3 other drivers who just as bad did the same thing to customer and that's how a company loses a client real fast.James j and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
I thought Crete was fine. They were the company that found out I had sleep apnea (I wasn’t happy) They pay a good $65k/year (penny raises each year and caps out at 59 CPM i think). I would love to go back but I’m making more money at Walmart. Some things were better at Crete then Walmart, (but that’s always the case when you switch companies for greener grass.)

I was hired as an OUR driver with Crete Carrier in 2011. Back then a driver had to run 121,000 miles to earn a 1 cent raise. This 1 cent raise added an additional $1000.00 to your yearly income. They have 5000 drivers. Do you really think they wanted you to get those miles? They offered a $600.00 bonus to any driver that ran 30,000 miles quarterly. Do you really think they wanto you to run those miles? I screamed conspiracy from the top of my lungs. I must assume that I was a bit too ambitious for this trucking company. Say what you mean mean what you say. And one last thing. Who do you think is in control of every mile that you run? It's the Fox guarding the Henry House.

And in reference to giving an ETA. Crete turns that into an actual time of arrival. Never mind the fact that you have a delivery appointment. Why even ask for an ETA? 90% of the freight that I delivered got there early, at times days early. After I delivered, I would let them know, "86962 is ready for action". 30 minutes later no response. I would send it again. No response. To get a response it had to send it over and over and like 30 times within 5 minutes. Then they would reply "you only have to send it one time". And now (THEY) have an attitude. How can you run a 5000 truck trucking company with a skeleton crew in operations DEPT. on nights and weekends? Yep, I was a major PITA, but they created me. The big question is why did they put up with me for 8.6 years? Maybe it was because I had no disciplinary points that they use to terminate drivers, no tickets, accidents, failed drug or alcohol screens, no Camara placed in any truck assigned to me and delivered most loads early. Crete Carrier Corp. is only looking for lap dogs and mind numb robots to put behind the wheel of their trucks.
