Dear God those pictures are the stuff of nightmares.
Amazed and glad the driver made it out.Uncle Birchy, alds and mjd4277 Thank this. -
There is nothing left of that cab.
Uncle Birchy, Bud A. and mjd4277 Thank this. -
I know, right. Can’t tell if it was a T700 or a T680. Look to the left of the photo just below the police interceptor. The truck skeeballed quite a bit! Maybe the driver fell asleep behind the wheel or was distracted.lovesthedrive and Bud A. Thank this.

The explanation says near Casper WY, sorry far from there.

"The accident and subsequent rescue happened on the evening of January 3rd near Casper, Wyoming.
According to Oil City News, the semi truck overturned on Interstate 80 near mile marker 51, trapping the unnamed driver inside of the twisted cab."
I noticed that, too. Didn't know Casper was so close to I-80.
lovesthedrive, D.Tibbitt, Uncle Birchy and 3 others Thank this. -
Yeah, when they said "near Casper," they meant "between Lyman and Little America." Casper is at least 250 miles from there as the crow flies.lovesthedrive, D.Tibbitt, Uncle Birchy and 3 others Thank this.
-
And off of a different highway no less.lovesthedrive, D.Tibbitt, Uncle Birchy and 3 others Thank this.
-
That's why I said 'as the crow flies.' It's a lot easier to get to Casper from there in the air than on the ground.lovesthedrive, D.Tibbitt, Flat Earth Trucker and 1 other person Thank this.
-
Yup. You haven’t lived until you’ve run backroads between Casper and Rawlins! lollovesthedrive, D.Tibbitt, alds and 2 others Thank this.
