Iowa Blizzard

Saw the Fed Ex truck still there last night. I hit that crap in Watertown South Dakota and spent the next eight hours easing on down to Waverly Nebraska for the night. Woke up to a 100% improved I80.

I spent five years driving from Dallas to Fargo weekly. This is was my first trip up there since last January and I do not miss it one bit. Kansas this morning at 35 degrees with dry roads never felt better.

 

Yup. We have idiots here too!

 

Why anyone would try push through that mess and whatnot and end up in the ditch is crazy... no freight is worth wrecking over

 

You suck!!!!!

 

They must get different snow and ice down there. Its a very rare day that I've seen roads get bad enough to have to slow down more than 15-20 km/h below the limit.

 

And THIS mess right here is why I kept my butt parked down by St Joseph MO Friday. My delivery was into Omaha, which may as well been ground zero for that blizzard.

Yeah I might have lost some miles and some money off my next paycheck, but ain't none of that mess worth me losing my health over...screw that.

I know Thursday night and Friday morning, the roads were wet on I 80 and I 380 between Davenport, Iowa City, and Cedar Rapids
