Husband and wife team starting with R&L Carriers

Hey just wanted to thank everyone in this thread for their help, wife and I got hired at R&L. We start orientation on Monday at the Sanger terminal.

 

Always call central 2 hours out from where your going at let them know we're 2 hours out seeing what you have us on. Every time no matter what. Or you may sit. Give them 2 hour heads up we ALWAYS had a load when we got there

I own a small carrier in the SW Missouri area. We are looking for good teams. What type of dedicated routes are you all looking for? We have SW Missouri to the Riverside Ca area.

 

1st day of orientation done

 

We're running wild right now. Hoping to catch a dedicated run eventually. And thank you! You're thread has been the single most important place if info that we've found and it really helped make our decision to come to R&L.

 

I just got hired on with R&L for my first job after CDL school. I’ll be running at night as a linehaul driver doing out and back runs mainly to Wilmington. That run pays $195 and only takes 7 hours at the most, which ain’t bad for my first job! My only worry is that they only train you for 2 days before throwing you to the wolves. Seems a little sketch to me as a new CDL holder, but we’ll see. ‍♂️ Any insights would be welcomed and thanks for all the great information on this thread!
