Update: The PA was able to track down the hit and runner. He admitted his fault and provided his company contact information. I submitted this information to the carrier who’s trailer I was pulling. They decided to go after the hit and runner’s carrier insurance rather than my own.

What are they going to do, come take it from me? Not that hard to buy a newer wreck and title the older truck as the newer truck. Nowhere I run is going to actually check it and there's no way in hell I'm going to put up with the emmissions bs.
