Just did fuel taxes. 4.69 avg. mpg. Still breaking it in. Been running it hard. Idled a lot, as much as I hated to, no choice.Still If it doesn’t improve. I may have a problem somewhere. Trucks averaged 5.5, If I don’t idle, I have averaged 6. I actually got 6.3 with a light load recently, so it’s possible. 12.7 just doesn’t have much torque. Gotta wind it up, and hammer on it when heavy or in hills. Kills the economy. Good for light loads, flat land. Otherwise might as well run a Cat. Better power. But they’re too expensive on parts for me. Old 12.7 is simple dependable and inexpensive. The aero Trucks with 12.7 typically only get .5 mpg better economy. The old 93 11.1 Detroit in an International cabover I drove got 7.1 mpg. That included idling for 3 days while at home. I couldn’t believe it.

 

Time to renew insurance. They want last 4 quarters IFTA. New one on me. I took a lot of time off last year. It’s going to be interesting to see how the justify an increase. Currently paying $8400 yr. Nothing surprises me anymore.

 

Good way to get real miles traveled for determining the rate. As apposed to asking somebody how many miles they ran last year.

At that instant the atheist cried out: 'Oh my God!...'
Time stopped.
The bear froze.
The forest was silent.
It was then that a bright light shone upon the man and a voice came out of the sky saying:
'You deny my existence for all of these years, teach others I don't exist and even credit creation to a cosmic accident. Do you expect me to help you out of this predicament? Am I to count you as a believer?'
The atheist looked directly into the light.
'It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask you to treat me as a Christian now, but perhaps, could you make the BEAR a Christian?'
'Very well, 'said the voice. The light went out, and the sounds of the forest resumed.
And then the bear lowered his paw, bowed his head and spoke: 'Lord, bless this food which I am about to receive and for which I am truly thankful, Amen.'

They are just double checking the amount of miles you run??. I imagine jersey and chicago outfits, will claim they run 15k a year. Kind of like the two kids that don't stop talking, make the teacher punish the whole class room.

 

Usually all they ask for is radius. I usually put 1200. Along with listing major cities traveled through. I think your right. The prices have gotten so high, I bet many are lying on the app.
