Its mostly metrosexual men who try to dress up out here from what iv noticed. If you pull a flatbed you want some that offers a little protection like jeans or cargo pants while working on the deck , but if you pull a reefer why not stay in casual clothes all day.

i always wore, neat, pressed, cleaned work clothing. either Dickies, or Wear Guard. usually always matching pants/shirts/jackets.

pockets T-shirts, usually black in color, during the summer time.

always wore either 6" or 8" tall work boots.

baseball cap as well when needed due to the weather.

I wasn’t talking about what you wear in your truck.

Dickies work pants for me . If loading or unloading that day , usually have high vis shirt on ... if just driving , put on collard shirt or just regular dickies work shirt, tucked in. ... tennis shoes to drive, work boots for the jobs, steel toes for the mills and quarries , insulated work boots for winter and cowboy boots for texas... i dont even own a pair of sweatpants but to each their own

if a driver wearing sandals gets injured on a dock or at a warehouse and ends up in the hospital it affects us all, insurance. healthcare etc.

I will wear whatever I want to wear. It's my comfort. I never look like a bum, but if it's summer time you might mistake me for someone going to the beach as I climb into my W9.

Yeah I don’t care much about how other drivers dress but some companies want drivers to look respectable most don’t want drivers wearing sandals even though they can’t witness drivers at truck stops.
