What information should I list on my Truck decal other than my DOT MC and company name? What states require more information and what should I list to cover travel anywhere. Please and Thank You.

Is weight rating still a thing, i see people saying something about getting stoped for not having it? Trying to figure out what to include on my truck lettering or decal to be good everywhere except California. I do not want to go there.

All you need is DOT#, Company name, last 8 of vin if you plan to run Colorado. KY needs vin i think, don't run there so don't have it on my truck.
MC# does not need to be displayed, it's tied to dot #, vehicle weight, nope, anything else you see is not needed.
The only States that require additional information I believe are Colorado, Kentucky, New York. California as well if your truck is registered there.

Colorado DOT told me they LIKE you to have the vin on the passenger side. But he also said that unless you are plated in Colorado they cannot require it.
He then told me that if I had had the vin on my passenger side, he would have been able to run it when I was on the scale and I wouldn't be in the scalehouse asking that question, I'd be driving down the road.

Ky doesn’t require VIN. They’ll run your DOT# or plate? Crossing scales to check for active KYU License. Minimum requirements are -Company name, and DOT # as follows USDOT#######. No spaces no periods. It’s not really enforced, but that’s what the regs say. And assigned Truck #. As far as VIN# and possibly GVR for certain States. I don’t know. Don’t forget “Fire extinguisher inside”.

    I don’t have the fire extinguisher on mine - I don’t think it’s required.

Prime does require you to have a bunch of gawdy decals affixed to the exterior, paw prints, cartoon characters and the likes.

That's correct, and I think that DOT is aware of Prime's requirement. I swear I think I saw DOT measuring the size of the paw print. The driver said he couldn't believe they put him out of service for his paw print being only 1.75" high.
