I hope the regional is just as good in pay as the local position.

I’ve been with Clean Harbors for two years now. I have no plans to go anywhere.

What facility would you be running out of?

Buffalo ny, I've said earlier just anxious about having to relearn to drive. Never drove a tanker and they have sleepers which I haven't driven since trucking school in 2015. I'm not sure what I will be hauling. But they want me to start the 15

They're a division of Clean Harbors, I heard it's an awesome job. All hourly pay and OT after 40 I believe. Tanker work is fairly simple, depending on whats involved. Don't be scared of a smooth bore tanker they just bounce you around a good bit when you first start out.

    mitrucker and Buffalonytrucker92 Thank this.

I used to know a guy who ran out of there. Did they say if you’re going to be crossing the border? Don’t worry about the trailers. One good thing is that they are only 43’ long and the tandems are at the rear. You may get into some three and four axle stuff too.

Yes they said I would be going into canada. Why are the trailers so short? It's almost like a pup.

Pups are usually 28-33’. I think the three and four axle trailers are longer, but I’ve never pulled one. The other guy used to go to Breslau quite a bit, then come across Canada to Sarnia and cross in Port Huron to go to the Gary, IN area. I’m guessing that you’ll be doing the same stuff. I know he ran down to Louisiana a couple of times too.

You’re going to have to be able to think for yourself and figure stuff out every once in a while. Answers from management and dispatchers can be hard to come by sometimes. The good part is that there is bo micromanaging at all. They assign you a run and expect that you’ll get it done safely.

I'll run wherever they want me too. Its hourly pay so I'm ok with it. Whatever it takes
