Those would be the "entitled SoCal" And wanabees. They are one of the things most of the good folks have fled from.

At least in the SF Bay Area the cultural diversity is so great those "special" people get shunned by the general population.... Except in the highest circles, those tends to fill will the clingers on of SoCal "people" that migrated north to get out of the cesspool.

Winter just getting started good, gotta get a good 48” snow and wind blowing a brisk 100 mph while below zero.

They'll move back, it actually may help, drive up the prices of property and leave, so if you sale you can make triple value

I looked in both Morton and Mossyrock. Both areas have a lot of appeal to me. A bit too much snow and too much ice for me. And they are on the upper end of population that I would consider. And they get a bit too much "recreational tourism". Day/weekend use Tourists, Hikers, Bicyclist, Fishermen, and Hunters are an indicator of places I do not want to live.

When I was looking around after moving up I ended up chatting with the (at the time, he moved on) shop manager at Love's a bunch. He was a local kid that left and came back. Also was a volunteer Fire Fighter in Onalaska. Helped point me in the right direction on a bunch of things. Like letting me know Ethel is about where the Ice starts to get too thick on 12 and the accidents start to happen. So either stay below there or go far enough up to not need to come down to 5 in the winter.

Unfortunately, They wont be able to afford to move back.

If they cashed out the little craftsman Bungalo and bought the "Executive House" in MT with the equity. The equity gain in MT will be less than the equity growth in L.A. If they moved back they would have to downgrade to a condo or resign for a ridiculous mortgage payment.

Also a bunch of the societal issues comes from the kids of the migrants.

Talked for a bit with a gal that had set up shop Stevensville, MT. She sold her place and moved down from Missoula because the university was rapidly driving the area way to Democratic Party for her liking.

I'd still like to see a bunch of them try it. Then again I wouldn't mind walling off the state either or help it break off and float away, inhabitants included
