Hey all...hypothetical question here. If you get pulled over for speeding, sometimes drivers can plead it down to a parking violation which is still 1 CSA point. In theory couldn’t you possibly plead it down to something non-CMV related and get NO points?
has anyone had any success doing something like that?
Pleading down inspection violation?

You can change the infraction.
I don't beleive you can't change the penalty. -
So you mean the fine? Sorry didn’t understand what you meant
Basically was accused of running a weigh station. I was going to talk to them to see if I could plead it down to something random like jaywalking and just pay the fine. Would that be possible and would i have to DataQ it to have it removed from my driving record?buckmanmike Thanks this. -
Did you get a traffic ticket and a Inspection violation?
-
i did. I made sure to ask the trooper for a citation instead of a warning. He was suprised but wrote me one

Be sure to share the results of all this with us when it gets to court. Did you just not see the scale or playing outlaw? Which scale was it?

Shoot i’ll take the bragging rights of being a gigolo over 5 points on my CDL any day lol
In all seriousness though if I can plead this down to something non-vehicle related I should be able to DataQ it and have it removed?Last edited: Mar 4, 2021
