Hi all!
What’s the best way, if any, to get routing changed on as many GPS platforms as possible? Google Maps? I’m getting feedback on trucks getting stuck/time consuming diversions that GPS’s got them into.
Thanks in advance!
Tom

Trucks should not use Google maps as the primary GPS. Google maps is great for the satellite views of shippers and receivers but can get a trucker in trouble quick if they use it for their trip plan. They should use one that is made for trucks. Garmin has one and the Hammer app is free.Wasted Thyme Thanks this.

All the major platforms are proprietary so you have to get each company to change their routing individually. No, the GPS didn’t get trucks stuck or diverted the drivers did. The GPS is a tool. It is often wrong. It’s up to the driver to use good judgement and overrule the GPS when needed not drive the truck into a river then try to blame the GPS. Another example why trucks won’t be driving themselves anytime soon.

I used Garmin Dezl for years but have switched over to Copilot, which I like because it uses PC Miler; so far, I'm happy with it and use it in combination with Google Maps. I didn't like all the glitches and updates I had to do with Garmin.
