Absolutely. If it wasn't for my wife's HSA account, we'd be in deep doodoo. My teeth are a mess and I have always been anal about them. Just genetics I suppose. Even as a youngster I remember getting repeated fluoride treatments. Honestly, I don't think they did squat.

My dentist bill was reasonable last year considering I hadn't seen one in 30 years. A previous cavitiy fill repaired along with a new cavity repair and a cleaning was a bargain compared to my visit to the doctor last week to get blood pressure meds.

3 minutes with the nurse who took my blood pressure and 3 minutex with the doctor who mostly talked about anything but medicine .

    $350

I really can't believe the folks who say they have hardly ever had a cavity. I have always brushed my teeth religiously and still got a mouth full of dental work. Guess it's my British,Scotch , Irish ancestry... Soft bad teeth.

If Yuma is to out of way, there's Nogales, below Deming NM and Juarez. Both places below Deming and yuma are quick and easy to cross. In Juarez , Washington dental with get you in El Paso and bring you back.

I think you're right. I noticed in Asia, very few people have bad teeth or gums. Some smokers do though.
I've seen people in their 60's with perfect white flawless teeth and they're real teeth, not implants or false teeth. They rarely eat anything with sugar also.

My hygienist told me that it’s hereditary. There’s people who do everything in their power to preserve their teeth and still lose them. Then there’s others that do nothing more than brushing and end up with perfect teeth well into old age.

Now, now, don't single out the fine folks from Alabama, you should see some of the hicks that come out of the hills, ol' pumpkin teeth, and that's another thing, why do pumpkins have such bad teeth? It comes from early on, dentists were everyones nightmare, remember those old drills with the cables and the dentist would stall the drill? I don't remember any novocaine, you just sat there, some I heard, used ether! Because of that, and the fact, my grandmother worked in the candy dept. at Boston Store, and my ex- MIL worked in the candy dept. at Sears, we ALWAYS had candy, we'd avoid the dentist like the plague. If you can, put it all on VISA and then die. I heard credit card debt is not transferable to loved ones when you die.
