I do not want to run hard. That mentality boggles me. Even when I was company I was shutting down after 7-8 hours of driving, but ran 7 days a week. If Mercer is nothing but 700 mile 24 hour delivery then it’s not going to work for me.
I don’t care about scale houses or PrePass. I don’t even use them that the company I’m at now offers for $195 and $2 a week or something. I have nothing wrong with my truck and I’m in no hurry to get anywhere that going through scales ruins my day. I’ll pull on the scale regardless and tell them don’t pull me in here just to send me down the bypass lane that’s teasing me.
The only thing that kind of turns me off of Mercer now is the fact that you can’t negotiate rates.

Not making it there, I did just fine. I ran mostly west coast and got tired of wasting my time and fuel in weigh stations due to other drivers bad inspections, speeding tickets or dui's.
No whining here, just facts and now less of a % to cover the morons that should've been let go a long time ago. Heck, I think Swift is even getting green lights now. lolLast edited: Apr 5, 2021

Maybe you don't care that as a O/O your company made you install a camera, maybe you don't care that you have to go to Louisville every year on your dime so someone can give your truck a look over, maybe you don't care that the percentage you get to keep has dropped, but other people do care which is what this thread is about!Last edited: Apr 6, 2021

Hey guys just checking in even though this thread is about dead i’m not putting out there Mercer it was a great starting point for me but I have to admit changing to a small company where they take 13% of what I negotiate and I pay everything else out of my pocket has made my numbers extremely higher than with Mercer just putting that out there as food for thought but you do have to have all your own equipment anybody want any further info PM me
