Judge; how did they load it, off a spout or with a front end loader.
Was it just damp and settled hard as you traveled? I often wonder why
hopper bottoms don't get jammed more often, what with tarped dampness and the road conditions.

All good, I just dropped that one as heading out the door. Taking lunch at home so got the chance to respond.

Only when he gets done stroking 1 out to new Cascadia pictures. Anyone who spends that much time "hating" on the same topic is hiding something.

I feel there must be a story behind this comment... My curiosity is peaked.

Not many times at Landstar. I don’t keep track.

Of course my time at Western Express taught me that my time isn’t worth anything to shippers and receivers when they aren’t going to have to pay detention.

You should try unloading hopper rail cars loaded with fluid grade potash (about the consistency of table salt when dry)... We finally quit ordering it by rail. It would take a crew of 6 to 8 guys with large sledge hammers, a huge railcar vibrator, multiple bars and sticks, and occasionally a guy had to be harnessed up to a boom lift and lowered into the hopper to beat the crap out from the inside... It sucked even worse when the railcars had gone through a major TAIN storm.

“Abject poverty as defined by the United Nations(UN) as "a condition characterized by severe deprivation of basic human needs, including food, safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, health, shelter, education and information. It depends not only on income but also on access to services" (UN 1995 report of the World Summit for Social Development)”

Dang, it’s so bad it’s got it’s own hazmat UN #. It also sounds like some new drivers discussing their life at a Mega.
