I like the foaming wasp spray idea. I have a hickory billy club tire thumper that’ll do in a pinch.
But I’m not worried about it because in 61 years of living, and 22 years of professional driving, I’ve never had any trouble. I’m too lazy to look up statistics, but I reckon we’re probably more likely to be struck by lightning than get into a firefight in our sleeper cabs!
Can a trucker have protection in the sleeper?

I didn’t mean to start a debate. It seems like this is one of those grey area topics. The only reason I ask is because we are allowed to possess firearms in our homes and when we OTR we are literally at home so to speak in our sleepers. We are vulnerable at times because many a times we are out in the middle if nowhere and there no help if needed. Sometimes cargo is targeted as I have heard cases where I’m from. Even though I grew up with guns in my house, I generally do not like to play with them as much as other people do. My motto, it’s better to have one when its needed rather to need it and not have one. I would absolutely in the most dire and emergency situations would i ever consider touching one. I also think its not worth keeping gun in 1 box locked and the ammo in another box locked. Thats 2 boxes to unlock, then lock and load. Too much time would be wasted in an emergency. As for the controversy I do get it because I trust myself to be responsible but i don't trust in others. Others might use guns just because they get mad at something trivial. Others don’t have mental capacity to be responsible to have a firearm. That being said, I’ll have to dive in deeper on this subject.

My clip is w/ my ammo not attached or even close to the gun. The key part is it is not stored with the firearm.
My brother who is a CHP advised me to store it that way. -

Let's keep the personal insults out of this thread. State your case and move on, no need to be rude.
