I would 100% agree the guy with the most raggedy looking truck is usually making the most money. Infact I seen rate cons for the same load I do every week from my company for 2400 from landstar paying 11k. Pretty sure they making good money. <_<

Question: for those now pulling a landstar flat or step but, wasn't before landstar.
Can you give some details on loaf restrictions. I know they have a two securement class. But what happens after that? I've been talking to my boss about letting me try it. I think finally he is considering it? Percentage wise how many loads are tarp loads?

    77fib77 Thanks this.

There is no percentage on tarp loads. Same rules apply, if it’s steel or lumber, you’ll probably tarp it.
If it has electronic components, you’ll tarp it.
There are thousands of open deck loads on the board, you’ll just have to put in a flatbed and look at the loads on the board.
Most tarp loads will be specified in the comments unless it’s a copy and paste, then they will waste your time putting you on hold to tell you load has already been booked..

As for securement class I can’t help you, I started as an sd2, so I have not had to attend it.
