We had a machine operator at the mill worked 3rd shift for 18 years and wanted off of it.
He tried for a year to get on another shift with no luck so he turned in his 2 week notice , he was escorted from the propery within the hour after giving notice.
Low bred stinkin folks kinda wormy to.

I can think of another DAILY poster here that goes through companies like I go through Kentuckians. And, they ALWAYS start a new thread about the new company.

It’s always great and the new outfit is SO much better than the last company that were idiots that couldn’t plan, couldn’t do routine maintenance right, etc...

That lasts about 6 months or so, then the honeymoon is over and it all starts over. The new company starts to become the biggest piece of crap ever. Then rinse and repeat.

In the five years I’ve been on TTR, this person has worked for 5 different companies that I know of and they’re always megas. The latest is his second go around with them. Always the same story. And, of course, he’s been driving for 30 years and knows how it should be done.

Some folk just can’t get out of their own way. At some point you’d think they might start looking in the mirror. Lol

You know what they say... The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over and expecting a different result.

And if the company won't keep to your set of rules? Or to its own set of rules? Or the government''s set of rules? Or to the promises it made to you when it hired you?

He fixed some of those issues like sitting around at one particular farm without additional pay. Now they make sure I've got a load to fill that wasted time, I get to that farm about the time they are done milking.... and all of my time in the truck is compensated. So I'd day he works with me, I'm content. I've learned to keep my mouth shut, let the little things go and I've made really decent money.

Even this one really crappy company I previously worked for where the owner was an abrasive jerk, they were always pushing me (inexperienced at the time I'll add) to drive faster. The owner of the company would even tailgate his own trucks. I gave those jerks a full week.

Unless the equipment was completely unacceptable and unsafe I would give at least a week. I know our equipment is NOT in an unsafe state.

Quitting over a text is ridiculously unprofessional behavior I would never engage in.

It takes balls to quit a job? I'd first just assume laziness, or "my boss can suck it", before no balls.

Balls is what you need to stand up to a guy twice your size, or MAYBE asking out a beautiful woman. Quitting a job, not so much.

Just about every time I've left a job its been due to a toxic work environment. I could care less if that bridge got nuked, I move forwards, never backwards.

Maybe so, who knows? It’s probably all of the above. Laziness, suck it attitude, no balls, etc... depending on the individual.

Asking out wormins doesn’t take any balls to me. I like all wormins, big, small, purdy, homely, it don’t matter.

I had some swollen balls the day I rode a mechanical bull turned up to 10+. I almost died that day and ever since, I only pull out my balls when absolutely necessary. Sometimes it's better to keep them tucked away.
