If you think Mount Eagle is bad, you've never been out west. Mount Eagle just drop to correct gear, jakes on, and coast to bottom.
Easy, but its a good learning lessons for over zealous drivers.

Mount Eagle is bad in a driving rain, especially when you can't see the passing lane

I got stopped a few months ago going over mount eagle. Forgot about the brake check stop and up and over and at the bottom was MR state trooper. Asked me what I thought I was doing, He got a radio call that I neglected to stop. I hadn’t been down that far south in over 20 years.
I explained up in AK and NW Canada and NW USA that mount eagle is just a bump in the road. Needless to say he wasn’t amused. Never touched the brakes all the way down.

Coming out of Jackson Hole over Togwotee Pass, and US50 from Salida to Montrose. Both are work, and both are beautiful.
