No shortage at all. At my last job pretty much every backhaul I got was a load of lumber. Prices of lumber are through the roof now. I was gonna build a swing set for my daughter and after pricing it out I decided I didn't want a second mortgage.
tommymonza and bzinger Thank this. -
Lets put it this way, if lumber prices (to haul) have gone up, it hasnt been enough to interest me in hauling it.
bzinger, xsetra, jamespmack and 1 other person Thank this. -
None whatsoever but my pay has skyrocketed.$3.300 for 560 miles.Havent hauled ANY under $5.00 per mile.Tug Toy Thanks this.

Have a lumber load for the AM. Pays well enough to take it, even tarped. So now it has me wondering, is this a high value load?
-
If some of it could fall off near my home 20 I could possibly make it pay another few cents per mile... LOL
But seriously, these lumber prices are ridiculous!!! Enough posts for a small fence should cost me about $250... But now it will cost me nearly $950!!!!!Nostalgic, tommymonza, Tug Toy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Maybe some of that ppp money?
-
Ppp only pays for employees that got kept on and working
Government unemployment bonus pays the employees bout as much as they’d make to go to work. Low wage earners just stay home.Espressolane, Tug Toy, cke and 1 other person Thank this. -
Ppp paid for all the employees that got laid off due to covid
all the large companies got many millionscke Thanks this. -
Not to mention alot, if not all of that money was forgiven.cke Thanks this.
