I’m in Ohio and it’s seems like I’m getting 1000 different things told to me to get my plates for my truck and trailer. I went to the BMV and was told that I had to create a IRP account. I go to the website they gave me and it’s a paper I have to print and fill out, and fax or email over to the IRP office. I called them 1000 times and no one answers.

If anyone could please point me in the right direction or explain to me what I REALLY need to do, I would greatly appreciate it

Find a service that does it for you, you’ll be on hold forever.
Trux does it, of Ooida may help, they used to, anyway

    MWHauler Thanks this.

In Colorado you can go to the state office or dmv online for irp...not too bad of a process...each state is different and covid has complicated things

Join OOIDA. Doesn't cost much and they can be a lot of help to you setting up your business. Membership fees are deductible too, or at least they used to be.

You can fax or email all of your info to IRP in Ohio for the truck plates. Should be a checklist online. I did mine in February. Less than a week later they sent me username and password. Invoice was in the portal. Way easier than I expected. Trailer plates will go through regular BMV.

baha and wis bang Thank this.
