I recommended Pride Transport in Salt Lake City in his other thread.
Automatic transmissions for drivers that want them and can take the dog.
Pride Transport runs the finest equipment on the road, running both automatic and manual transmission trucks. Our fleet average age is 23 months and all trucks come equipped with refrigerator, satellite radio, optimized idle, available 2000 watt inverter and fully installed DirecTV.rachi Thanks this. -
The honest answer is you pretty much have to learn to back up. Even if you don’t have to do it often at the customer if your otr your gonna need to do it at the truck stop and many of them can get tight as heck. Especially if a few guys park a little wonky.
CrappieJunkie and Lumper Humper Thank this. -

Wow , just wow. It's a job not a hobby.
We all do things every day that we may not enjoy, that's why it's called work. If you find this specific job you're looking for, I would suggest not taking the dog along until you've gotten a little time in the seat .
You're gonna have enough going on starting off without worrying about
the dog .austinmike, Rubber duck kw and Dockbumper Thank this. -
I’d suggest taking the CDL class at the local community college or vo tech school.
They will teach you how to shift and how to back a trailer , the HoS and how to use the ELD,
How to do a pre trip, and and all the other stuff that’s required of a truck driver.
Just having the license isn’t gonna help much of you don’t have the knowledge or skills to accompany it .
sounds like you may need to stick with a box truck or a sprinter van or if you can stand the cargo, a school bus . -
Jaebo74 Thanks this.
