    I’ll include a picture - to clarify.

Empty, the unit tractor and trailer is 80,000.

Potentially, when fully loaded with product - hydrogen - another 2,000lbs (?)

Though the trailer appears as 4 separate units, the entire unit is plumbed together as one, multiple cylinders in each pod - lines fixed , interconnected with shut offs and permanently affixed to trailer.

Can I permit to 80-85k if needed as a single piece non divisible?

Follow up question - I have an APU.

Does this allow 80,400? Or just 34,400 on drives?

New England, except CT and New York you can.....

I thought hydrogen is lighter than air.... shouldn’t your loaded weight be less than empty weight.....?

That’s kinda what I thought. It apparently does have a weight when compressed.

My tiny mind brought up images of the Hindenburg . . .

    His cat is pretty lightweight.

We shall swap cats for the voyage, weight should be ok then,

Are you answering the single piece or the APU question?

    Single piece.....

Mass, NH and NY will sell you a reducible load overweight permit... they don’t care.
