I am looking thru various flatbed job listings and some of them mention PODS?. When I google it, it comes back as pay on delivery?. I don't think that is the right definition of the term in this case? What does PODS mean for flatbed jobs .

Moving containers. They look like they are 10' long, customer packs it, you haul it. Think of them as a bedbugger in a can.

ABF Freight has something similar. ABF driver drops a trailer at your house, then leaves. You load your own stuff into the trailer and when it's ready. The drivers comes to get it and deliver it where ever you agreed to.

They are a moving and storage company where you pack an 8' 12' or 16' container. Then they pick it up and either store it for you or take it to your new location. https://www.pods.com

PODS is the easiest job hands-down. They are 7 to 16 ft containers. They are always light loads. You throw 2 to 3 straps per POD or chain and roll. I can strap faster than most people complete a drop and hook. Nine times out if ten, we load and unload at the same place. Most of the locations are really nice and easy to get to. We do a lot of coast to coast loads. I work for Blackhawk almost exclusively on the PODS account, and I'm glad to answer any questions for you. Pay is 51 cpm with a 5k sign on bonus and an additional 5 cpm for the summer rush. Summer miles are as many as we can handle. Winter runs about 2800 a week. We set out own ETAs so we can run consistent schedules every day. It's perfect for someone who doesn't mind staying out for a little while. That's the one downside.

Easy work, cheap rates. A backhaul special. At last when it comes to getting them off the load boards in my experience.
