Are you looking for locations of DOT scales? Trucker Path is good for that.

The Weigh My Truck app by CAT Scale is great. No need to park and go inside for your ticket.

Trucker path but it’s not always accurate.
Here’s a good one tho, buy a road atlas. It has all the permanent scales listed.
Then buy a truck stop guide or use the app and find the cat scale closest to you or closest on your route.
Scale legal then don’t sweat it.

Years ago, a friend somehow picked up a blacklist of scales phone numbers. She would call from a nearby exit, if they answered, they were probably open, and went around them. :p

They aren’t blacklist or secret. Google map the scale house and click on it. It gives you the number.

I know a scale master who didn’t answer the phone, waiting on those to think he was closed, his boss knew to call, ring once, hang up, call right back.

Guess I need one after all. I screwed up yesterday and didn’t get a chance to scale before hitting a weigh station.
Knew I was gonna be way way heavy on my trailer axle so decided I’d pretend I didn’t see the sign.
It worked but I’ve never sweated that much before in my life.

I still think there should be an exception for going to the closest in route cat scale.

Trucker Path would be more accurate if it would remember that when it pops up and asks me if they scale is open, I am going to answer 1 question. not that question and 2 others. It is open so yes, their is a law officer in the scale house!
