I think they were inching up to the 450-500 mark with each dispatcher having 80+ drivers each.

Last day of orientation today. We finished filling out the benefits paperwork, got our assigned trucks, talked to the safety director, and they bought us lunch again despite it being a short day. They gave us t-shirts also after giving us hats previously.

The truck is nice. Older with 433K miles on it, well taken care of and the guy who details them did a great job. It was the first time since Stevens Transport that I stepped into a truck that clean aside from the brand new truck I had gotten a couple years ago at Wiley.

The shop has set hours which I like. We know exactly when they're working and what to expect. If the shop has any questions about write ups, they call us for clarification. You can turn in your paperwork via image scanning on your phone, but since I'll be back weekly i can skip that and turn it all in when I come home for my weekends off.

Everyone tells you that they don't sugarcoat anything. They will be straight up with you with no ######## and I absolutely love that about them. I'm the same way- blunt and direct.

My fellow drivers are very nice to us newbies. Like all truckers they tend to stick to themselves, but will engage in conversation like normal people. It's been very pleasant.

The company also will pay for a TWIC if you decide to get one. They also reimburse for cleaning supplies for the truck and other things. Frankly, I'm in awe of what the company does for their drivers. No other company I've worked for has been this pro-driver before.

I get my first dispatch sometime tomorrow to leave out Sunday. Best of all I don't have to call people to get permission to drive my personal vehicle onto the lot to un/load my truck. They're so laid back and allow me to be the professional driver that I am. Very impressed.

Will update when I have completed my first dispatch (and get the first part of my sign on bonus).

Thank you. Hey now, take a look at my avatar. If you think that's a dude, you shouldn't be driving anything. LOL My nickname is unisex, but my full name leaves no doubts.

It could've been so much worse. I'm thankful no one got hurt.

I can see fine. I was talking about old Wiley Coyote that called wanting you to come back to old Col. Sanders.

She might be busy with se*ances, or some other ritual. I went to one of those once and the 200 year old count they conjured up was a pal of mine back in the day. lol
