Hi. I'm trying to find some place I can park (semi w/trailer) for home time. Something with a reasonable weekly rate in or near Chattanooga, TN. I've been looking on google, and haven't been able to find anything except for one place called Kingpin parking. Seems kind of shady. They don't give the address of the lot until after you make a reservation, claiming it's for security purposes. Also, they don't have any contact info at all.

    Rocks Thanks this.

Depends a little on where in particular you're wanting to park.
There's places all over, though you'll have to get away from town a little bit.
Which direction you want to be?

Probably around wildwood Ga, a pilot or mapco.
Unless you can talk to RV storage places and make a deal.
Go talk to manager of Qualawash, they may rent out a spot.

Direction doesn't matter, only distance. For a place that offers parking weekly, I'd say the closer the better, because I'll have to get an uber/lyft/cab to/from apartment and that could get real expensive real quick. If there's any place I could rent a spot monthly for ~$75 it could be farther, up to ~ 100 miles. In that case, I could just rent the spot year round and drive my personal vehicle there and leave it parked there while I'm out on the road, then it'll be waiting for me when I come home, just leave the truck and drive myself home in my personal vehicle.

I'll check out Qualawash. I know Pilots and most other truck stops have paid premium parking you can reserve, but usually they are pretty pricey really meant for just overnight parking, not longer term. Does pilot offer weekly rates that you know of?

Well, there's ample possibilities, which is why I asked about your desired location.
So I can point you to the right people to contact.
You're welcome to pm me, and I'll help you best I can.
I have many friends and contacts around Chattanooga and surrounding areas, and getting you the best option shouldn't be terribly difficult.

    Rocks Thanks this.

I just noticed a rental lot (gated, cameras, etc.) in Adairsville off 75. It's right behind the new God awful Buccee's gas station by one of the Shaw plants.

That may be too far for ya though.

I hope you have found what you were looking for and all is working fine for you.
I am going thru the same ordeal near that same area.
Planning on going back on the road and the place that I used to rent is no longer available...
Have been searching for a place all over this town and near GA border and also north of here but all potential places are full.
I need a safe place, gated, preferably with cameras because I leave my personal vehicle for a long period of time and then bring the truck for the time off....
Saw the Kingpin parking ad... very very shady... no way I will give anybody money before visiting the place... But will visit the area where they say their parking is and will ask businesses around... There's a storage business there with parking for RVs, boats and larger vehicles but no room for a semi with trailer. Maybe they know some places around there.
Have been checking Craigslist, driving around, asking businesses that have big parking lots and trucks, storage, trucking companies, big fenced empty lots, Quala wash... So far, only thing I got was Wabash trailers... but only for trailers... :biggrin_1square1:
