I'm looking into a lot options to get my CDL once I pass my permit. I was wondering if anyone that went through Schneider and how are they for a company that helps anyone getting their class A? Especially their Jet set program is that one worth doing? Because I call a recruiter and they sound like a good company to go with.

I don’t know about jet program or van division.
I was on bulk side, I kinda like the tanker side, good people, had better opportunities come up.
But I had 12 years experience when I went there and started out at .495/mile back then, I’ve been gone from there for about 7 years, but it was ok.

I was there when BB was there out of Reserve LA, great guy, i learned a lot from him on tankers.

I worked for Schneider 17 years ago, so any information I have would be completely ancient, but I will give you a quick synopsis of my very old information.

Good equipment, lackluster pay, lackluster benefits, very little opportunity for advancement, and office personnel has a tendency to talk to you like they are in the CIA and you are on a need to know basis.

I am opposed to the idea of the Jetset program. I think it takes people from economically depressed areas and flies them out to regions where they would have to pay a proper wage to attract drivers, pays them much less than the going rate in that area, and profits even more than they otherwise would.

It’s a way to undercut competition, and in the long run depress an area's wages.

Hey Chinatown do you have anymore companies like these on your list? If you could give them to me. Because I'm willing to try them out. And thank you.

    A. Duie Pyle, but don't know if they hire students from Maine.
They do hire Maine drivers that already have a cdl though.
