Glad things are going good! I was starting to forget about this thread. Where have you been running and how’s hometime been?

Bud A. and Tanker_82 Thank this.

I mainly run the NE and Canada. I go home every 6-7 weeks.

If I could just figure out how to avoid farms and dairies I would be golden.

Glad it’s working out for you! You mentioned Canada… I left Champlain, NY on Thursday. I picked one up at our drop yard there that goes to Fontana, CA. I’m almost to Colorado with it now. Everything is still great for me too. Nothing new here, still doing long distance loads and running hard.

I am pretty sure that when I get sick of this job, I'll head to IRT. But I think I can take one more winter. Wyoming and Colorado and Montana winters are not as bad as running the Northeast any time of year.

    Tanker_82 and Redtwin Thank this.

It's rare that I will get a load longer than 600 miles but that's fine as Canada border pay more than makes up for it.

Bud A. and Tanker_82 Thank this.

NE isn't that bad once you get to know the usual customers and where you can park for breaks etc. Majority of the time you will be heading back to the terminal in Bensalem so parking definitely isn't an issue.

As for general traffic, well, nothing can be done about that. Running Canada more than compensates for lower miles and burning up the clock.

I’m out of the Visalia terminal, pretty much just go back and forth between Florida and California. Making ok money most weeks.

Now that's my kind of trucking gig. Back and forth cross-country and stay south of I-40...

Tanker_82, QuietStorm and Lonesome Thank this.

A lot of times I’ll go up to the Midwest from Florida, but then it’s straight back to Cali for another one to Florida.

I didn't do any CA to FL. All my loads from west coast were from WA to FL. Definitely above I 40 and on some roads in I wouldn't want to be on in the winter.

Bud A., QuietStorm and Lonesome Thank this.
