I have my cdl permit and dot physical and going for endorsements while trying to find a cdl training school/company
Problem I am having is everywhere I go they want you to have a current driver’s license for at least a year ...I have just got my license in March 2021 as over 10 years ago it was suspended .. I didn’t need a license until now to get around so I just never went to get it everything on my driving record is over 10 years old.. only problem is they all want a year from issue date on driver’s license
Not sure where or who will take me with a license not being held for a year.. I am open to trying for my cdl in any state ..
thank you in advance

12 mos is pretty much standard.
Have you tried CRST?
That's the only one I can think of that might cut some slack.

Classes are held weekly and usually last just three weeks. Approval is based on your driving, work, and criminal history, not your credit history. With our Free Class A CDL program, CRST covers the CDL fees. Plus we offer two free meals per day during training and $40 per week stipend during school.Military · Experienced Divers · About Us · Drivers · Contact

Where is your location; state and town/city?
I'm asking because there may be some companies that will hire you and give you OJT to get your CDL.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Thank you ... and yes I have tried CRST and same thing .

May I ask, why was your license suspended 10yr ago?

Yeah, not having a DL at all for ten years is a red flag. They figure you either haven’t driven any kind of motor vehicle in that time or that you’ve been driving around for years without a DL
might just have to wait out the year but you can find a place that will hire you as a helper or dockworker or something for that year. So when the time is passed
You will have some time and experience in with the trucking companyNavigatorWife Thanks this. -
