My sister bought a geo metro in 1992.
It’s still running. It’s got over 400k on it all 3 of her daughters drove it thru high school and college and learned to drive manual transmission. Good little cars for what they were

No big loss. Anything less than 8 is lame.

I don't plan on buying anything new ever again anyways. I'm actually searching for a new daily driver and it'll be something with at least 383 cubes. Preferably a juiced up 454 Chevy.

I always lamented the fact Lexus and to a lesser extent Acura models typically didn't offer the better mpg 4 cylinder that was available in the corresponding Toyota or Honda. So typically went with the latter. Hard to justify the loss of 10+ mpg hwy with the V6.

My wife's Ram 1500 quad cab has the variable valve V-6. By itself, it's got some 'off the line' guts, but on the highway, if you want to step out into a faster flow of traffic, get a running start. Put a trailer behind it and it makes me wish for my old S-10 with the 4.3. and the fuel mileage is less than my son-in-laws 10 yr old quad cab with a super tuned hemi and 250,000 miles.

Couldn't pay me to drive a Lexus. Rode in one once, I'll stick with my F150 lol.
