It's been about 8 months since I've driven a truck OTR so I'm assuming not a lot of companies will look at me given that gap without some sort of refresher training. I still drive commercial vehicles just not trucks instead city bus for the time being. I have about 3 months experience with driving trucks but it's been awhile.
Recently, we moved out to Phoenix, Arizona closer to Mesa/Tempe. Anyways, just curious which companies I should consider out here. I've been looking at Pride, Swift refrigerated, decker, Schneider, and a couple others.
The plan is to stay with them for about 2 to 3 years and then see what my options are after. I'd like to avoid having to pay for refresher training if possible.
What are my options? 8 Months since OTR

Do you want a local job or OTR or regional?
Doubt you need a refresher; only 8 mos. out of the seat isn't much. -
Absolutely, I will just seeing what companies are out there and I'm interested in OTR/regional more than local for now. I don't have my TWIC or Hazmat for the time being. Lost it when I transferred my license from California to Arizona.
