The main issue 'Why' the Majority of younger people under 30 years old are Not going into trucking is because of the Autonomous threat.
It's been more difficult to find Good drivers is because of 'Wages'. Hence when you factor in both its only becomes a voided career choice for a good majority. -
Most people that go into trucking just for money, don't have a very happy ending. Nor do they last.
And they are the most miserable whilst they fuddle their way through.Brettj3876, Speed_Drums, kemosabi49 and 3 others Thank this. -
I dont mind a contract, but i really loathe someone that refuses to shake hands.scott180, Midwest Trucker and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Where did you run the ads?
What is the job like?
For that money, I'd assume plenty of people working right now (and therefore wouldn't have the "I'm not applying because I don't want to work" reason) would apply, unless the ad was placed somewhere truckers don't see or hear it, or the job description is atypical, or people just assume that the money couldn't possibly actually pan out.
My first thought was I'd apply, but then I realized that when I see ads like that (without knowing the person who placed the ad was someone whose posts I've read on this site), I assume the money is a false promise bait and switch, and maybe they're going to do bad things with my personal informationslow.rider Thanks this. -
So if the company owner has never filed bankruptcy that means he has personal responsibility? But what if he has bankrupted a company or two before he made one successful? Does he still have personal responsibility since it was a company? Just curious.slow.rider Thanks this.
