    #### em.
It’s like the signs “trucks over 8tons stay on interstate” #### you that’s not my route I’m not doing it.

its 9 hours you’ll be fine, but I felt the same way the first time.
Now I guess I’m jaded after realizing it’s got very little to do with safety and more about taking money from our pockets.

Someday, a DOT officer will steal your innocence and bust you open like an egg yolk. Not today. If you had been pulled over you would have gotten a ticket for failure to obey a traffic sign or device. Be thankful it was in WI - on the west coast the scales are, “photo enforced” - there are cameras that take pictures of your truck as you drive by and you get the ticket in the mail.

Nope. They ain't got time to waste with AK47s. They'll use AR49s cause 49 is 2 bigger than 47 and Assault Rifle is tougher than Assault Knife!

I ran my first scale yesterday too. I was passing a truck, and reading the side of his sleeper instead of paying attention to actually driving... As I passed, my eyes drifted above his hood and I saw the scale. Man, I was one paranoid MFer for the next twenty miles.

Usually when the line is out right by road they close it for a few minutes til it clears out

As long as on your way back past the scale, you don't blast your air horns and give them the one finger salute they won't even notice...

Couple of times, west bound, I-10, just into New Mexico, cruising from Texas, simply "missed" the sign of OPEN or CLOSED and/or the "Lights".
Both times I exited down from the Scale, for fuel.
    No one showed with "Lights/questions".

I've "at times" passed open scales all around the U.S.A., on Interstates or "backroads".
ESPECIALLY I-75 in southern Michigan, rolling North. I didn't "line up" on the Shoulder.

WHO Recalls West Bound I-10, Louisiana (just b4 Texas), installing the West Bound Signs FACING WEST??
    Highly visible from East Side!!
I was not alone in "Bypassing" the scale. Took those heroes a while to correct the error, after which,
    SCALE CLOSED.

    CHEERS!!

    buddyd157 Thanks this.
