Best company for new driver, May, Schneider or Navajo?

Schneider tanker pays well, but van not so much.

 

Let safety approve your hire. Recruiters don't have the final say in whether you are hired. I've seen people be in orientation and get told sorry we can't hire you. Some companies do not deal with drug felonies. Be straightforward & tell them to be straightforward with you. Safety has the final say not the Recruiters. All the best as you begin your journey.

 

I'd go tanker with Schneider off that list.

They have gigs that allow you to stay out two weeks and be home a whole week and have some sort of normal life.

 

Plus after paying your dues there your tanker experience will open alot of doors to easier trucking imho

 

This is extremely good advice. Felonies might not matter as much as they used to, but you have 2 and that might be problematic for some companies. The recruiters basically will tell you whatever you want to hear to get your butt into orientation. However, they DO NOT have the final say and in my experience, they don't even bother trying to get you "pre-approved" with the people that matter. I went through this scenario when I started recently. So pick one that seems best for you. You only have to make a year and then you can jump to a more lucrative company or one that fits you better. Just approach your offers with a backup plan in case plan A falls through.
