Seen the perfect truck for that, looked it over the other day, 84 Pete 352, short wheelbase small sleeper, white in color, needed new airlines to trailer, had good tires, none matched, and windows were down, so no AC, and RHS of engine was wet with oil, so rockerbox leaking, looked like a 400 Cummins and 9 speed, perfect for those hard to get to places, though. Had $6000 on windshield.
    I’d say worth...1500... maybe 2000 tops.

What did you just spend on a truck that needed a rebuild?

ZOMG EPIC Cascadia / Landstar life.

I've found the Achilles on my old trailer. 5 of the 8 tires are a thousand years old.

Another one totally disintegrated on the highway about 50 miles into the most awesomest state.

Twisted the F out of the mud flap bracket, and killed the mudflap.

    SO

Out of the 4 bolts holding said mudflap bracket, the whole cross piece, 1 just wouldn't have any of it.
Liquid wrench the other 3 and they finally got with the program.

SO WTF do we do now? We're in some reel pretty sheet now.
I go in to wash my hands, walk through the tools at The Hopi Travel Plaza hoping beyond hope there's a grinder..........and I spy............a hacksaw. $9.

Blade probably good for that one 1/2 bolt but it got done.
Now how the F I going straiten / flatten this out? Small sledge I carry did pretty good but needed something like a vise.

    SO

When dude was done with the tire I put the landing gear down on it, and beat it Purdy flat.

    The OM is pleased.

Probably won't be able to walk tomorrow. It's nice to know ya still got it when you need it. Going get another replaced at The TA up the road in the morning.

This would be another one of the weirdest days of my life, except I'm an OTR truck driver.

Got cleaned up, changed clothes, injected The OM lol.

I'm 56. The way I feel right now, if I start to workout A LOT, I may be able to get back into shape to do electrical work by the time I'm 60.
