three weeks ago...

 

Find something the federal government does know about, besides corruption or manufacturing crisis. About to get rolling, slept like a rock after my workout, shower, and dinner. Should have been on the road 3-4 hours ago.

 

As of last night, 137k acres with moderate to heavy spread, upgraded the mandatory evacs for the El Dorado / Amador county line, new fires yesterday downoutside of Sonoma (evacs for the SW areas and downtown Sonora), Christmas Valley (Hwy 89 south from Meyers) under evac warning now and Hwy 50above Kyburz to Echo Summit mandatory evac.....Grass Valley had another and Clear Lake lost 35 mobile homes to another fire. We are watching the southwest edge of this Caldor fire....sofar the winds have remained low, but if the wind picks up in the evening hours (downslope-east to west) could send this into fresh dry fuels.

 

They know how to set them though, so they still have that program where they burn so many acres a year?

 

The communist state doesn't know how to do any forest mgmt. No logging. No controlled burns. Got to protect those owls. Wonder if they are giving them CPR for the smoke inhalation.
