If it’s a tri-drive it changes things for some reason.free2fly973 Thanks this.

Ah, I see. That's a dang long wheelbase for a logtruck. After watching some of the log roads the highway thru hell guys have to go recover logtrucks on...not sure that could get down some of them bobtail
-
Typical tridrive wheelbase. They use a trailer with a long neck because you need the 5th wheel or log bunk about 20ish inches ahead of the center axle in order to get the proper weight on the steer axle. Plus front overhang is quite a bit. 7 or 8 feet maybe? I'd have to look at the regs.
They turn pretty good, especially with a pole trailer. They track a lot closer to the truck than a van or flatdeck. -
Why does it have the sleeper of a freightliner?
-
Because freightliner owns western star?

Looks like a rebadged Coronado. Ran into a young bull hauler in Iowa a week ago. He was driving a brand new international set forward axle hood. Pretty decent, more of a truck then remind me of the older forward axle international eagles.
Pamela1990 and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
The whole world's going to hell

Yeah it's a Mercury Cascadia. Same sleeper and dash with nicer seats, steering wheel etc. Have driven it in ATS.

In a regular cab I bet that is a good looking truck.
But that roof and sleeper need to go, they look silly.
I've yet to see a good looking sleeper truck.
