Grin, this is what you get for skipping pages. About a 5 months ago he posted that the home he just purchased was under an acre.

If you bothered to read the ad... It was $7,999 for the cutter. Oh and you need to pay out an additional $9,999 for the startup bundle. A mere 18 grand for a water jet. What a deal! Tho there is a fellow on Youtube that is doing waterjet cutting and uses a 3500 psi high pressure washer and it cost him alot less than 3 grand. I think it is search "water sprayer water jet"

Sheesh a whole town that doesnt know how to spell aye hole.............. lol (no I wasnt trying for "a" double s)

I have read the add... repeatedly over the past few months. The startup kit includes the basic desktop water jet and some accessories.

Me personally I'm not paying $2k for a stand (which I do not want) and a pallet of sand. Add in additional shipping charge for a pallet of sand. especially when the abrasive sand can be sourced locally, It is not worth it.

Pretty sure with the quantity of water jet manufacturers in Seattle (3 or 4 that I am aware of, even hauled a booth for one to a Vegas trade show) I could scrounge some up.

When I read it I didnt see anything about cutting media suppliedd with machine. Perhaps an misprint on their part?

I would call them and ask them to specify how much your actually getting. As 2,000 pounds of media would put weight of package considerably higher than 110 pounds

For me it is a non issue. I would only want the basic machine and some spare parts.

They basically have 3 marketing kits:
    a) Basic Machine kit (includes pump and hoses)
    b) Basic Machine kit plus a stand
    c) Basic Machine kit plus a stand and some small spares and a 2200 pound pallet of media.

after thought: Grainger has 55 pound boxes of media for $46.87 in stock in Portland, OR. Could probably do better price wise with a few phone calls.

Sounds like a plan then. Have they told you what software you would be using for the cutting? I am concerned about ease of use.
